I always loved this venue, as it was so small, but also so big at the same time. The bands were always walking around, and everyone was just interacting. The only thing wrong with it was the prices of the beer.
none the less were first up, and the band I had come to support. Again, they pulled out all the stops, and had a very professional set, playing new tracks from their new EP, The Way To Save Ourselves. Definitely top marks!
Stars Of The Search Party were next. If I’m honest, I had never heard of these guys before, but as soon as their lead singer Rob came out into the crowd with a wireless microphone, interacting with everyone, they got me interested. A seriously good set with an interesting mix of music. Definitely one to watch out for!
I had heard some of Telegraphs’ material before, so was looking forward to seeing them. They told us this was their last day of tour with In Case of Fire so were giving it their all. A very good band, with a definite good live sound. They tour all the time, so watch out for them!
Finally In Case of Fire took to the stage. Although they were very tight as a band, people lost interest quite quickly. They have some very good songs, but, in my opinion, their live show is probably something to work on.
All in all, a good gig. Plus I got some signed merch from it so I’m happy!
